A TEE OFF TO REMEMBER
The Nantz Course officially opened in June with its inaugural Junior Tournament, benefitting First Tee — a non-profit, youth development organization dedicated to empowering kids through the game of golf. Jim Nantz, a Sports Broadcasting Hall of Famer, currently serves as the Honorary Chair of First Tee, a distinction previously held by Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
Nantz has long championed youth golf and the values of mentorship, character, and sportsmanship the sport instills. That commitment to inspiring the next generation of golfers is one Pine Lake shares, and it was on full display at the course's opening.
Together with First Tee, the event brought the course’s mission to life by providing young golfers the opportunity to learn, compete, and create lasting memories, while supporting First Tee’s mission to build character and life skills through golf. The participation of Nantz’s son, Jameson ‘Jamo’ Nantz, only added to the occasion, linking another generation of the family to Pine Lake.
As future junior tournaments and programs continue, the Nantz Course will remain a place where golf’s traditions are passed from one generation to the next, inspiring young players for years to come.
