HEAD Footwear Steps Ahead of the Competition
Participating in its first shoe test since the line debuted in January 2008, HEAD's new line of footwear earned high ratings in a shoe test conducted by French Magazine Grandchelem. Players and footwear experts tested HEAD footwear for Grandchelem along with other big brands, including Nike, Adidas Asics, Lotto, Babolat, Reebok and Lacoste.
Judged on stability, comfort, softness, grip, dampening and the materials of the shoe, the HEAD Prestige Men model ranked fifth and the HEAD Extreme Men ranked seventh out of 16 pairs of men's shoes tested. The women's models also scored extremely well with the HEAD Prestige Women ranking second and the HEAD Fire Women ranking third out of 12 pairs of women's shoes tested.
Testers praised HEAD footwear, dubbing the line a "very successful comeback from HEAD in performance shoes." The magazine also went on to rave about the "great performance, high resistance and great comfort" of the different models tested.

HEAD MicroGel Technology a Hit among Media and Players
Technology earns top praise in German Tennismagazin and is the most used technology on the ATP Tour.
The MicroGel Radical Team racquet came out above the rest earning praise from the magazine’s editors for its fantastic control and great power. Dubbed “the most precise racquet in the test“, the MicroGel Radical Team was also praised for the crisp playability, fantastic control and great power compared to other racquets of the same construction.

New Radical for a New Era
HEAD is launching a new tour racquet line – the MicroGel Radical Series – offering aggressive, competitive players the ultimate feel and unique touch – through HEAD’s newest technology, MicroGel.
The modern game of tennis has evolved into an era of individuality, spontaneity and adventure. HEAD is keeping up with the game with the reinvention of Andre Agassi’s former weapon of choice.
“In today’s fast-paced, aggressive game, competitive players need a racquet that provides ultimate feel,” said Robert Marte, Division Manager, HEAD Racquetsports. “Our new technology creates amazing response qualities and is wrapped up in cool-looking high-tech racquets.”
When combined with carbon composite fibers in the racquet head, MicroGel deforms and compresses upon ball impact, uniformly absorbing and distributing the impact load around the entire frame, creating a rock-solid feel while offering extra stability against twisting.
Professional player Amelie Mauresmo recently joined the HEAD team and chose the MicroGel Radical MP. Mauresmo won her first tournament playing with the racquet in Antwerp.
